Polaroid "Manual Option" Land Camera w/ electronic flash kit
A joint venture between yours truly (The Instant Camera Guy) and Option8.
Type 100 Polaroid Automatic Land cameras are truly amazing machines. They are capable of taking some of the highest quality photos possible on instant film, using a film that is 1/3 the cost of 600, SX-70 and Spectra film. The only downside to them is that all consumer model Automatic Land Cameras were just that; automatic.
Apart from a lighten/darken setting, you got pretty much no control over your photos, the camera choose the shutter speed for you. This automation made these cameras easy to use, and is great for day-to-day shooting, but when it came to long exposures and shooting with studio flashes it was not very practical.
If you wanted a Type 100 camera with full control, you were forced to find a manual model like the 180 or 195, or 600SE. These models are incredibly expensive though (and in the case of the 600SE, incredibly bulky!), and unless the camera has been fully restored, they can often cost you lots of money in CLAs and repairs.
This is where Option8's creation comes in.
Based on the high-end, metal bodied Polaroid Automatic Land Cameras (such as the 100, 250, 350 and 450), the "Manual Option" cameras by Option8 give you the precise control over your shots that the factory never did! The original "electric eye" automated exposure system has been replaced with a brand new, custom made PCB and control knob, giving you control of shutter speed settings from 1/4th of a second, to a blisteringly quick 1/1000th of a second, as well as bulb mode for long exposures. All the original film ISO selector switches have been modified and re-labelled to give you control over aperture, from f8.8 to f45.
Lastly, the camera has full X-sync, perfect for night time flash or studio photography.
I have supplied this camera with an electronic flash and custom made, removable cold-shoe mount with PC sync cable. Perfect for lighting up the night!

***Australialisted now requires that I describe cameras as "new" or "used". This two-option rating system does not accurately portray my work. The cameras I sell are second hand, but each one has been fully refurbished back to factory performance. Please remember that although you still buy film for Polaroid cameras, Polaroid do not make new 600, SX-70, Spectra or Type 100 cameras any more, so if you want to buy a Polaroid, you are be forced to buy second-hand. So why not buy one that is guaranteed to work?
